The goal of the UB-ESNTP's education activities is to link
inner-city education to community development efforts in the Martin Luther King
Jr. and Fruit Belt neighborhoods. The UB-ESNTP has partnerships with the Futures Academy
(School 37) a public school that is located in the Fruit Belt neighborhood and
the King Urban Life Center which houses a charter school in
the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood. The UB-ESNTP also partners with the Locust Street
Art School.
UB-ESNTP activities include: the Future
City initiative, the Fruit Belt Community Garden,
the Community Art Project, and the annual Fruit Belt Neighborhood Clean-A-Thon.
