The UB-ESNTP Mini-Grant is a grant opportunity co-sponsored by the Center for Urban Studies and the Baldy Center for Law & Social Policy, to provide funding during 2006, 2007 and 2008. The mini-grants support basic and applied research projects conducted by UB faculty which complement efforts of the UB-ESNTP to address education, housing, and economic development issues challenging Buffalo's Fruit Belt and Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhoods. UB-ESNTP research grants are intended to provide seed money to initiate larger projects or provide funds to facilitate or complete projects. Grants typically average $2000, with the possibility of funding exceptional research projects up to $6000.
The University at Buffalo East Side Neighborhood Transformation Project [UB-ESNTP], a program of the Center for Urban Studies within the UB School of Architecture and Planning, announces the launch of its e-newsletter, ADVANCE. Inspiration for this newsletter and for its title comes from a long history of African-American and other people of color speaking truth to power through the printed word.
